On January 8, according to Lao Dong, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province has just issued a document approving the zoning plan for the construction of a 1,000-hectare Industrial Park in Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district.
According to the plan, this is a multi-industry industrial park with modern and advanced technology, mainly in the fields of mechanics, manufacturing, electronics, refrigeration, processing, consumer goods production, supporting industries... and deep processing of products of Tang Loong Industrial Park.
Location of Vo Lao Industrial Park is in Van Xuan village, Tan Tien village, Cum Chieng 1 to Chieng 7 village, En 1 to En 3 village and Lu 3, Lu 4 village, Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district.
The scale and total area of the zoning plan is 1,000 hectares; the calculated labor scale for the industrial park is about 50,000 people.
Vo Lao Industrial Park is invested in 2 phases. In which, phase I has a scale of 200 ha - 500 ha; phase II completes the remaining scale.
It is known that currently, Lao Cai province has 3 industrial parks in operation, including: Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, Bac Duyen Hai, Tang Loong with a total area of 1,285 hectares.
Of which, industrial land is 868.68 hectares, the occupancy rate is 76.2% of industrial land, attracting 161 projects for investment, production and business, the industrial production value in 2023 is 17,630 billion VND, accounting for about 40% of the industrial production value of the whole province, creating stable jobs for 9,000 workers.
Lao Cai province's industrial parks have attracted many large investment projects, the industrial production value in industrial parks accounts for a large proportion, and production and business activities in industrial parks are managed.
Enterprises in industrial parks have implemented State regulations on environmental management relatively well.
