According to Lao Dong's records in mid-January 2026 at the project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan street (Thanh Xuan ward, Hanoi), the contractor has completed the asphalt concrete section of the road surface from alley 162 Nguyen Tuan to Nguyen Huy Tuong intersection, with a length of nearly 250m.
The expanded route section helps people travel more conveniently. However, some super-thin structures appear here, causing unsightliness.
The remaining section from Nguyen Huy Tuong intersection to the intersection with Nguyen Trai street is under construction.
Regarding the project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan street, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board of Thanh Xuan ward said that the project is still stuck with the site of a 2-story collective house at address No. 35A Nguyen Tuan, involving 6 households.
Currently, the land price has been approved and the ward is applying for resettlement housing prices from the Department of Construction. After the resettlement housing price is available, we will publicize the plans and try to approve them in February 2026. If people do not support it, the ward will continue to implement the prescribed steps" - said the leader of the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board of Thanh Xuan ward.
Leaders of the Project Management Board also said that the construction contract was signed between the investor and the contractor until the end of March 2026.
The project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan street was approved by the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan district (old) in 2018.
The project is 720m long, the starting point intersects with Nguyen Trai street, the ending point reaches alley 162 Nguyen Tuan, the cross-section is expanded to 21m, including a 15m wide road surface and 2 sidewalks each side 3m wide.
The project encountered obstacles in the implementation process, when many households did not agree to hand over the site, and at the same time there were many complaints related to the project.
After many times of local propaganda, mobilization and dialogue, by November 2024, most households had handed over land for the project.
From July 1, 2025, after being operated by the 2-level government, the Nguyen Tuan road expansion project will be transferred to Thanh Xuan Ward People's Committee as the investor.
