On the afternoon of June 24, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the implementation of the Thach Bich Green Park project and direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the project implementation progress.
The Thach Bich Green Park project is invested from the provincial budget with a total investment of 900 billion VND, with a scale of more than 8.1 hectares. The project includes many items such as: green park, water square, children's playground, sports area, parking lot and Phan Boi Chau extended road.

According to the investor's report, the design consulting unit selection has been completed, the design documents are being appraised and are expected to be approved before June 30. Construction contractor selection is being implemented, striving to start the project at the end of July 2026.
However, the project still faces many difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance, especially in arranging resettlement land funds, handling cases of land separation of people and resolving compensation plans from previous projects in the area.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang requested relevant departments, branches, and localities to urgently review and focus on removing each obstacle according to their authority; review, consider and clearly report on the progress of handling relevant legal dossiers and procedures. At the same time, clearly state where obstacles and difficulties are and propose specific handling plans.
Accelerate compensation, site clearance and resettlement arrangement; strengthen coordination in compensation, site clearance, resettlement and complete investment procedures.
Determined to start the Thach Bich Green Park project at the end of July 2026, contributing to creating more green space, urban landscape and meeting the entertainment needs of people.
For 30 years living in suspended planning, 160 households in residential group 6 (Le Hong Phong ward, Quang Ngai city) have been waiting anxiously for the Thach Bich Green Park project to be implemented to escape temporary living. Decades of living in suspended planning have caused many difficulties for people's lives; houses are degraded and dilapidated but have not been repaired, rebuilt or separated.
