Starting construction of nearly VND2,690 billion terminal
9 works and projects were started and inaugurated in person and online at the same time; organized 6 connecting points, including 3 main bridges in the East of Hai Phong connecting to the main bridge of the Government.
At the main bridge point, Hai Phong held an inauguration ceremony for the construction of May Chai bridge and the approach roads on both sides of the bridgehead. May Chai Bridge has a starting point on Vu Yen Island, connecting directly to Vu Yen Park walking street and the end point intersecting with Le Thanh Tong Street (Gia Vien Ward). The total investment of the project is more than 2,000 billion VND.
At the same time, Hai Phong started the T2 Passenger Terminal Project - Cat Bi International Airport with a total investment of nearly VND2,690 billion from the capital of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV).
The project is built with an area of about 23,200 m2, designed capacity of 5 million passengers/year (equivalent to 1,500 passengers/peak hour) and plans to expand to increase capacity to 10 million passengers/year when needed.
The T2 passenger terminal is designed with a scale of 2 floating floors, with 2 separate lanes. The station is connected to the airfield location by 4 passenger cable bridges, 2 islands for luggage procedures with 28 check-in counters, 14 kiosks for procedures, 2 luggage unloading runways and 3 luggage return runways... meeting international standards.
The city also started the investment project to build a resettlement area to serve site clearance for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project in Duong Kinh ward. The scale of the project is to synchronously build technical infrastructure works for resettlement areas with a total area of 74,853.9 m2 (470 lots to meet the needs of about 1,880 people). The total investment of the project is nearly 284 billion VND from the city budget (contributing funds to implement the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Construction Investment Project).

Launching a series of key projects in the West of Hai Phong
Along with 3 projects in the East, Hai Phong also launched a series of projects in the West. In which, many key transport projects connect the area.
Hai Phong started the National Highway 37 bypass project (the section connecting Thong Nhat bridge/National Highway 37 with Ring Road I) with a total length of 5.402 km. The project belongs to group B, implemented in Thach Khoi ward, Gia Loc commune and Gia Phuc commune with a total investment of 612.16 billion VND.
Hai Phong also started the project to build a traffic route connecting National Highway 17B with Dinh bridge with a total length of more than 3 km, implemented in Kinh Mon ward and Nguyen Dai Nang ward with a total investment of 248 billion VND.
The project to build a Thai Binh River overpass and access road on Ring Road I, from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C, also started construction on the morning of August 19. This project has a total length of about 2.476 km, built in Tan Hung ward and Nam Dong ward with a total investment of 1,228.24 billion VND.
Along with the groundbreaking of 3 traffic projects, on August 19, Hai Phong inaugurated the Dong Viet Bridge Construction Investment Project connecting to National Highway 37, nearly 5.3 km long. The project has a total investment of nearly 470 billion VND. This is one of the important transport projects contributing to the realization of the orientation of transport development and inter-regional connectivity of localities. The operation of Dong Viet Bridge and the entire approach road to the bridge will facilitate people, open up great opportunities for trade, tourism and attract investment in industrial parks and clusters of Bac Ninh province and Hai Phong city.

Along with transportation projects, Hai Phong also started the project to build a martyrs' temple and cultural park in Tan Hung ward with a total investment of 200 billion VND. At the same time, the Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Construction Investment Project Phase II was inaugurated on the existing land of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital at No. 225, Nguyen Luong Bang Street, Le Thanh Nghi Ward. The scale of the project is to build a boarding treatment and general service block; complete the construction of a 7-storey technical infrastructure system and complete the technical infrastructure system. The total investment of the project is nearly 240 billion VND.
