On August 20, Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee organized an interdisciplinary team to fight for illegal construction works in the area.
According to the enforcement plan, Phuoc Thang ward has issued 14 enforcement decisions for works violating construction order in the area; mobilizing about 100 people from many forces to implement.
Mr. Lam Thanh Son - Deputy Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department of Phuoc Thang Ward - said that on August 20, the delegation plans to organize enforcement at 3 illegal construction works.
Of the 14 forced demolition works according to the plan, 9 works have submitted a voluntary request for demolition and committed to implementation. Of which, 3 works have been completely dismantled and 6 works are being dismantled.
In addition, the two projects have just had a decision to apply temporary emergency measures from the competent Court, and Phuoc Thang Ward has issued a response document.
"In the morning, the team completed the enforcement of the illegal construction on an area of 90m2, and is currently working on the next illegal construction solidly on an area of over 62m2. At the same time, review the remaining projects, if they do not comply with the commitment, they will be organized to implement enforcement", Mr. Son said.
Previously, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong issued a document directing Phuoc Thang Ward to strengthen patrolling and inspection work, not to let new violations of land and construction order arise; as well as establish a working group to focus on resolving violations in the area... Report to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction the results to synthesize and report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee before August 30.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Chairman of Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee - said that the ward is implementing many measures to ensure construction order in the area.
For the violating works that the ward has reviewed and discovered, they are being thoroughly handled as well as implementing strict monitoring measures, propagating and mobilizing people, to prevent new violations from arising.
As for some remaining violations under the authority of the People's Committee of Vung Tau City before, the ward is reviewing the current situation to develop a plan and resolution plan according to regulations.
Previously, in Phuoc Thang ward, there were violations of construction order at the Thanh Xuan Residential Area project, and the Low-rise Commercial Housing Area (Ngoc Tung) previously transferred from the Vung Tau City People's Committee.
In Thanh Xuan Residential Area, Vung Tau City People's Committee has issued 24 decisions to enforce the demolition of works that violate construction order. Currently, there are 6 projects that have been voluntarily dismantled. The works on the Ngoc Tung Residential Area project have been completely demolished.
