On July 21, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a document directing the implementation of land management and construction order in Phuoc Thang ward.
In particular, Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Chairman of Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee to completely dismantle the violating construction that has been handled; not allowing the subjects to repeat the violation. Issue enforcement decisions and implement them according to regulations.
Focus on thoroughly handling cases that have been discovered but have not yet been recorded. At the same time, consider the responsibility of relevant organizations and individuals in loosening the management of the area. Strengthen patrols and controls of the area to prevent new violations.
In addition, a working group was established to focus on resolving violations of land and construction order in the area. In case there are signs of the subjects being "smugglers", signs of criminals, the file should be transferred to Phuoc Thang Ward Police for verification and clarification.
Proactively coordinate to review and handle issues related to planning, land use planning, 1/2000 zoning plan projects, and detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 in the area. If there are any difficulties or problems, report and propose to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and resolution.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate to establish a specialized inspection team to inspect land management and construction order in Phuoc Thang Ward, and report the results to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in August 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Chairman of Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee - said that through inspection, 120 violating works were discovered in the area. Of which, 112 works were discovered before June 30. Currently, many works have been voluntarily dismantled and returned to their original state.
Of the total 120 violating works, 110 works have been handled, the remaining works are being handled by the locality according to regulations.
