On July 31, the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward (HCMC) said that the row of concrete piles illegally built in the middle of the Ba Coi River (a branch of the Dinh River) had been completely dismantled.
The demolition took place after the local government persistently mobilized and requested the landowner to correct the violation. Thereby, all 15 illegally paid deposits were voluntarily pulled up by the people, returning the flow to its original state.
Previously, people reported that some concrete piles 3-5m high, with a diameter of more than 20cm, were built in the middle of the Ba Coi River, where many households live by aquaculture (aracco, shrimp...).
Through inspection and review, the locality invited the land user, Mr. N.V.H, to work, requested to stop the above behavior, force the dismantling of all concrete piles, and restore the original state. Assign the Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to monitor the implementation progress.
At the same time, through the review, it was found that this area is within the boundary of forest land and forestry land assigned by the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (old) to Vung Tau city (old), so the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang ward instructed Mr. H to contact the authorities to receive support on legal regulations on land and forest land use.
