On April 7, information from Sa Pa Ward People's Committee, the unit just worked with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to review the progress and remove difficulties in land acquisition, compensation and site clearance for the new administrative center project.
Attending the working session were Mr. To Ngoc Lien - Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; Mr. Dinh Van Dang - Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board; along with representatives of professional departments and related units.
The new Administrative Center Area project was approved in 2018, with a total investment of more than 910 billion VND, the initial planning scale of 64 hectares, after adjustment it is 61.4 hectares.

Within the project scope, there are 84 households, individuals and 5 organizations, the actual area to be recovered is about 55.4 ha.
According to the report at the working session, some items have changed. For the HC1 road, decisions have been issued to recover land for 3 organizations and 3 households; of which 3 households and 2 organizations have received money and handed over the site for construction.
However, the overall progress still faces many obstacles. Some locations are still stuck in determining the origin of land, developing compensation plans and creating consensus from the people. This is identified as the main "bottleneck" affecting the progress of clear site handover.
At the meeting, the parties agreed that it is necessary to accelerate the determination of specific land prices as a basis for compensation and support. The Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Sa Pa Ward is requested to soon advise on residential land price plans.

At the same time, the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is considering extending the project implementation time to suit the actual situation.
Local authorities emphasized that they will continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to agree, coordinate inventory, receive compensation, and soon hand over the site.
The goal is to gradually remove obstacles, accelerate progress, and create a clean land fund to deploy the new Administrative Center according to the plan.
