On the afternoon of July 14, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phu - Director of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province confirmed that he had requested a temporary stop on the construction of the road encroaching on the Quan Truong river, in Nam Nha Trang ward.
In the past few days, people have reported that a section of Quan Truong River, more than 1km from Binh Tan Bridge, is being flooded with soil, leveling the riverbed.
Recorded at the scene, the construction unit dismantled the railing of the Ring Road 2 embankment, using motor vehicles to dump rocks and soil to create a temporary road about 10m wide, nearly 100m long across the river.
Notably, the entire area does not have a construction information board, does not show the project name, investor or construction progress.
Currently, the Department of Construction has directed specialized agencies to coordinate with the People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward to inspect the scene and related legal documents.

Initial information, the above filling of Quan Truong River is for enterprises to construct and serve the Nha Trang Mixed-use Urban Area project.
It is known that on the other side of the Quan Truong River is the planned land area for the Nha Trang Mixed-use Urban Area Project, with a scale of more than 226 hectares.
This project plans to reclaim land from about 480 households along the Tac River and Quan Truong River, in Nam Nha Trang Ward after the merger.
