On the morning of June 29, Thai Nguyen province simultaneously organized the groundbreaking ceremony for 6 social housing projects with a total investment of more than 7,500 billion VND.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony at the NOXH Cau Truc Urban Area Project, Bach Quang ward were Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments and branches, and a large number of local people.
The NOXH Cau Truc Urban Area project is invested by Dai Chung Housing Investment Joint Stock Company, implemented on an area of 1.9 hectares, including 4 social housing buildings and 1 22-story commercial housing building.
The project has a total investment of over 2,415 billion VND, expected to provide 1,707 social housing apartments and 420 commercial apartments; implementation time from the second quarter of 2026 to the end of the fourth quarter of 2029.
Also today, social housing projects started in Thai Nguyen include: Social housing project for sale and rent in Phan Dinh Phung ward; Social housing project for sale and rent in Phan Dinh Phung 2 ward; Van Xuan Social Housing Area project, Van Xuan ward; Social housing project under Urban Area No. 2 project, Bach Quang ward; Social housing project under Cao Ngan Housing Area project, Linh Son ward.
In which, the social housing project for sale and lease in Phan Dinh Phung ward has a total investment of 712.98 billion VND, including 294 units for sale and 236 units for rent.
The social housing project for sale and rent in Phan Dinh Phung 2 ward has a total investment of 718.217 billion VND, including 262 units for sale and 260 units for rent. The implementation time of the two projects is from the second quarter of 2026 to the end of the second quarter of 2030.
The NOXH project belongs to the Cao Ngan Housing Area Project with an area of nearly 4.5 hectares, with a population scale of about 5,109 people. Of which, about 1,960 NOXH apartments are expected to be built for sale.
The total investment capital of the project is more than 2,116 billion VND, the expected implementation progress is from the second quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2029.
Van Xuan social housing area has an area of about 2.1 hectares, with a total investment of more than 1,223 billion VND, including about 910 social housing apartments and 247 commercial apartments.
The project is expected to be implemented from the second quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2029.
The NOXH project belongs to the Urban Area No. 2 Project, Bach Quang ward, with an area of about 4,997.36 m2. The project provides about 351 apartments with a total investment of over 316.5 billion VND.
According to Resolution No. 07/NQ-CP of the Government, in the period 2025 - 2030, Thai Nguyen is assigned to complete 24,800 social housing units.
However, the locality sets a target to complete 60,000 social housing units by 2030.
By the end of June 2026, the whole province had completed 2,181 social housing units; in 2025 alone, 1,554 units were completed, exceeding the target assigned by the Government, and in the first 6 months of 2026, an additional 1,027 units were completed.
