On December 9, the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi) coordinated with relevant units to organize the compulsory recovery of 518 square meters of land from two households within the boundary of the Phung Khoang Lake Park construction project.
During the propaganda and mobilization process, a household agreed to hand over 413 square meters of land to the local government.
The remaining household with a total recovered area of 105 square meters did not agree to hand over the land, so Nam Tu Liem district organized enforcement according to regulations.
"After completing the land acquisition work, the locality handed over the site to the investor to complete the construction of Phung Khoang Lake, ensuring the progress required by the City People's Committee" - Mr. Nguyen Duy Trinh, Director of the Land Fund Development Center of Nam Tu Liem District informed the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper.
Phung Khoang Lake Park project has a total area of over 11 hectares, started in 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2017. This is a land-for-infrastructure project in the capital.
After more than 8 years of construction, most of the items in this project have been completed, but currently, the park is still unfinished, overgrown with grass, and degraded items... causing great waste.
At a recent meeting to urge project progress, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested the investor to better fulfill its responsibility for the public works project.
"It is impossible that the urban area project has been completed for a long time but the social works project has not been completed for a decade" - Mr. Tran Sy Thanh emphasized.
The leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee requested Nam Tu Liem district to complete the site clearance for the Phung Khoang Lake Park project and hand it over to the investor before December 15.
The investor is responsible for reviewing, completing, and maintaining completed items, handing them over to Nam Tu Liem district for management, maintenance, and use to serve the people during the Lunar New Year 2025.
The People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District is responsible for coordinating, implementing the handover and temporarily accepting the management and exploitation, ensuring conditions and safety during the implementation of procedures until the conditions for official handover are met according to regulations (no later than the first quarter of 2025).
