VNA reported that on the morning of October 26, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the ASEAN 47 Summit and related Summits, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a high-level dialogue session within the framework of the ASEAN 2025 Business and Investment Summit (ABIS 2025).
At the dialogue session, answering the program coordinator's question about Vietnam's key economic priorities in the future and how to balance growth with sustainable development, autonomy and integration, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam will continue to promote growth drivers, in which traditional drivers including investment, export and consumption are renewed and new growth drivers such as green economy, digital economy, circular economic growth, sharing economy, and creative economy are promoted.
In response to the Coordinator's proposal to shape Vietnam's next development program in the fields of innovation and digital transformation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam identifies digital transformation as an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority, both in thinking and in action.
In digital transformation, Vietnam prioritizes the development of artificial intelligence, semiconductor chips; e-commerce, logistics; digital transformation of services in healthcare, education, culture, human exchange, tourism.
According to the Prime Minister, digital transformation must create movements, trends and build a digital government, develop a digital society, a digital economy must have digital human resources and digital citizens.
Therefore, Vietnam has launched and resolutely implemented the movement "Digital education civil society" under the direction of General Secretary To Lam, accordingly all citizens are able to learn, participate in the digital transformation process and enjoy the fruits of this process.

Regarding the role and contributions of ASEAN and Vietnam in recovering the supply chain as well as what Vietnam and ASEAN do to always be a reliable partner for the global business community, the Prime Minister said that for ASEAN, what makes the world admire is the principle of solidarity, unity in diversity, the spirit of self-reliance, the central role of growth, the goal of inclusive development, putting people as the center, the subject, the resource, the driving force for development.
The head of the Vietnamese Government gave an example, when the global supply chain is broken, ASEAN countries must strengthen domestic supply chain connections. Or when the policies of foreign countries have an impact, ASEAN countries must improve their self-reliance capacity, support, and increase the opening of economies to compensate for the impacts and damage.
Appreciating the Prime Minister's comprehensive approach, in the final question, the Coordinator said that Vietnam has affirmed its strong support for multilateralism and regional integration, and suggested that the Prime Minister inform about Vietnam's role in ASEAN in the coming time when ASEAN outlines the next economic agenda.
The Prime Minister emphasized that ASEAN is a community, an ASEAN family, so each country becomes stronger, that is, the whole bloc becomes stronger. And vice versa, when the ASEAN bloc strengthens, each country benefits from the strength of the bloc.
The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is ready to contribute to all issues related to institutions, infrastructure, human resource training, and governance, especially in priority areas such as digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, creative economy, science and technology development, innovation, which is the foundation for rapid and sustainable development.
