According to the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union (TKV Trade Union), in order to supplement the housing fund for workers, especially the team of miners far from home, Thong Nhat Coal Company (Cam Pha coal region) and Ha Lam Coal Company (Ha Long coal region) are preparing procedures to start construction of 2 more worker housing projects in 2026.
In which, Thong Nhat Coal Company built an 11-story apartment building with 68 rooms; Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company built a 12-story apartment building with 100 rooms. These are just additional worker housing projects to better care for the food and accommodation for workers, because these two units have also built collective housing and apartments for thousands of miners.
Previously, in 2025, TKV's affiliated units in Quang Ninh started construction of 2 worker housing projects at Khe Cham Coal Company (Cam Pha Coal Region) and Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company (Ha Long Coal Region).
In which, the collective housing project for workers of Khe Cham Coal Company in Mong Duong ward has a scale of 1 basement, 11 above-ground floors and 1 attic floor, with 360 closed apartments, designed according to the model of 1 person/apartment, fully equipped with living facilities. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Meanwhile, the underground worker collective housing project of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company in Ha Tu ward has a scale of 1 basement floor, 11 above-ground floors with 389 closed rooms. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

According to the TKV Trade Union, currently, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV) has 22 units arranging collective housing for workers, with 4,814 rooms. Of which 3,636 rooms are for single workers and 1,133 rooms for households.
Many collective housing areas and apartments for workers and laborers of TKV are spacious, clean and beautiful, becoming model collective housing areas of Quang Ninh.
In which, Worker Collective Area 314 of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company (Uong Bi coal area) is one of them.
The 314 collective housing area includes 4 rows of houses, including 2 rows of 5-story houses and 2 rows of 3-story houses, with a total of 218 rooms. Room occupancy is designed flexibly, including rooms for 2 people, 3 people and 4 people, suitable for the specific characteristics of mining labor. Currently, the collective housing area is a place of living and resting for 444 workers, mainly direct laborers of mining, tunneling, production lines, premises and departments of the Company.
The highlight of the Than Vang Danh model apartment complex is the closed room system, invested synchronously and modernly. Each room is fully equipped with essential items such as beds, mattresses, sheets, wardrobe, curtains, air conditioning, water heaters, tables and chairs, refrigerators, washing machines, internet...
The company has also invested in a system of rich welfare projects such as collective dining halls, libraries with more than 700 books and newspapers, four-season swimming pools, rehabilitation gyms, karaoke rooms, canteens, mini football fields, and outdoor training equipment.
In particular, the apartment complex also arranges 4 "happiness rooms" - rooms designed with amenities like mini hotels, serving workers and families during short reunions.
