Alejandro Garnacho has been given a second chance by Ruben Amorim after a disagreement at the start of the Portuguese coach's tenure at Old Trafford. However, the possibility of the young Argentine star having a third chance is very low.
Garnacho was asked to train separately from his teammates and was later left out of the pre-season tour of the US. These are signs that he will leave this summer if the club receive a suitable offer. Manchester United have reduced the demand from £70 million in January to around £40 million to ensure that happens. Everything is clear.
Garnacho was pardoned by Amorim in December this year. The winger was once left out of the Manchester derby against Manchester City at the Etihad. Amorim said he violated instructions while waiting to come on as a substitute in the Europa League match against FC Viktoria Plzen, which took place four days earlier.
Garnacho missed the game and was forced to train at Carrington alongside Marcus Rashford - who was also left out of the squad. In that context, the "Red Devils" won a memorable derby with a score of 2-1 thanks to a goal in injury time by Amad Diallo.

However, after discussions between the players and the coach, the problem was determined to be due to misunderstandings. And Garnacho has returned to the squad. He impressed Amorim and the coaching staff by proactively taking on the responsibility of media work before the second leg of the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao.
However, just a few weeks later, Amorim's patience ran out. Garnacho's comments after being left out of the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have gone beyond the limit.
He was then left out of the final game of the season against Aston Villa. And the Argentine has been well informed that he should spend the summer of 2025 looking for a new club. There has been interest from Chelsea, Villa, Napoli and Bayern Munich.
Man United are waiting for a specific offer and only when there is no action before the transfer deadline, Amorim will consider giving Garnacho a chance to return. However, this possibility is very low.
Garnacho's talent is not a problem, but Amorim's decision to cut off his relationship came from his desire to change the culture at Old Trafford. That was also the reason Rashford was loaned to Aston Villa in January and was then pushed to Barcelona.
Amorim believes it is the right thing to let Garnacho go. And the fact that Man United are willing to listen to offers of around £35 to £40 million shows that the club is eager to facilitate this deal.
Anthony Elanga, who has scored 11 Premier League goals in the last two seasons - compared to Garnacho's 13 goals - has moved to Newcastle from Nottingham Forest for £55 million. Garnacho, although younger than Elanga, has experience playing in the equivalent first team.
Garnacho's departure will improve Man United's situation in terms of financial rules. Because, as an adult player from the academy, any fee he earns is pure profit.
However, that is still a risk. At the age of 21, he will be long before he reaches his peak form. Scott McTominay is the latest Man United player to thrive in another environment, having played a key role in Napoli's Serie A title last season.
It is entirely possible that Garnacho will do the same and develop his potential elsewhere. The Red Devils will try to include a buy-back clause in any deal to protect themselves. But with Garnacho no longer in the plans, they are not negotiating from a good position.

Meanwhile, Garnacho was disappointed with the current situation. The closest relatives of the Argentine international believe that he has tried his best in Amorim's first months to prove his ability.
Garnacho's favorite position is to run on the left wing, which does not exist in the 3-4-3 formation, but he feels he has adapted quickly. From March to May this year, Garnacho has started 14 consecutive matches.
Most fans do not want to see the young, good players of the academy leave the club. However, Garnacho lost sympathy when posting a photo of himself wearing an Aston Villa shirt under Rashford's name.
Perhaps that is just a way to show support for his former teammate, currently playing at Barcelona on loan. However, many fans consider it a Provocative action at a time when both Rashford and Garnacho disagree with the club.
This was also not pleased by the M.U leadership, and only reinforced the view that Garnacho had to leave. With no official offers yet, he is still using facilities at Carrington while his teammates prepare for the new season in the US.
