On the afternoon of August 8, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held a ceremony to announce the main sponsor and draw lots to schedule the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - VFF General Secretary emphasized: "With the efforts of VFF, the determination of the club and the long-term support and responsibility of sponsor Thai Son Bac, the national women's football championship has gradually improved its level of professionalism, contributing to exciting matches.
The tournament is the basis for experts to select excellent personnel for national women's teams, especially the Vietnam women's team. Thanks to that, women's football has gradually achieved remarkable results.
Most recently, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team have won a ticket to the 2026 Asian Cup Women's finals held in Australia. In addition, the Vietnamese women's team is also ranked 37th in the world and 6th in Asia".
Mr. Tran Anh Minh - sponsor representative affirmed: "This is the 14th year we have accompanied the national women's football championship as the main sponsor of the tournament. It is also an honor and pride to contribute to creating the tournament brand".
The 2025 National Women's Football Championship has 6 participating teams including Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, Ho Chi Minh City II, Vietnam Coal and Minerals, Thai Nguyen T&T.
The teams competed in a round-robin of 2 matches (first and second leg) concentrated in the host locality to calculate points, ranking 1 to 6. The champion team will represent Vietnam in the 2026-2027 AFC Champions League for women.
The first leg of the tournament will start from September 4 to September 21, 2025. The second leg of the tournament will take place from September 26 to October 13 in Hanoi.
In the first match, Thai Nguyen T&T club will meet Vietnam Coal and Minerals; Ho Chi Minh City II will meet Ho Chi Minh City I; Hanoi will compete with Phong Phu Ha Nam.
