Ninh Binh Club has just reached an agreement to recruit Brazilian center back Janclesio Almeida Santos with a 3-year contract.
Notably, the team will accompany the player born in 1993 in the naturalization process, with the expectation that he can contribute long-term to Vietnamese football, including the ability to wear the national team jersey if called up.
At the age of 31, Janclesio is no stranger to V.League audiences. With a height of 1m96, he has played prominently for Viettel, Ha Tinh, Da Nang clubs and most recently Becamex HCMC.
In just the last two seasons, the Brazilian centre-back has made 44 appearances, scoring a total of four goals. This is an impressive achievement for a central defender.
With ideal height, outstanding physique and rich experience in competing in Vietnam, Janclesio is considered a modern central defender, strong in competition, effective in high balls and the ability to organize defense.
Saying goodbye to Becamex HCMC to move to Ninh Binh is considered a big turning point in his career. This is not simply a professional contract but also opens up the dream of becoming a Vietnamese citizen.
The representative of Ninh Binh club said that one of the conditions for the two sides to reach an agreement is a commitment to accompany the naturalization process. This is a strategic direction to strengthen the team and at the same time contribute quality resources to Vietnamese football.
"I always consider Vietnam as my second homeland. This land has given me many opportunities and a love for football. If I am trusted, I really hope to contribute to the success of the national team", Janclesio shared when officially joining Ninh Binh.
