With impressive achievements in the past year, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan - striker of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has been nominated for the 2024 Women's Golden Ball. This is a great source of pride for her family, especially Tuyet Ngan's mother - Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet.
Expecting Tuyet Ngan to win the Golden Ball award, her family is eagerly awaiting the awards gala night.
"If Ngan wins the Golden Ball, my family will be very happy. We always hope our daughter will achieve great success in her career," Tuyet Ngan's mother said.
Sharing about Tet holidays, Tuyet Ngan's mother said: "Ngan returns to her hometown from December 23 to around the 8th day of Tet. Every year, my family always waits for her to return before starting to clean the house to welcome Tet. If Ngan doesn't return, we feel a bit sad, but when she returns, the Tet atmosphere becomes very happy."
One year, Tuyet Ngan could not return home for Tet because she was competing in India, and during that time, she contracted COVID-19 but did not dare to inform her family, for fear of worrying them.
Tuyet Ngan's mother also shared her joy and pride when her daughter was loved by everyone. "Every time Ngan comes home, the whole neighborhood is very happy, the little kids often ask to take pictures with Ngan. I also love soccer. Every time Ngan plays, I try to arrange to go watch my daughter play," Ms. Bach Tuyet shared.
Ms. Tuyet Ngan's daughter has been pursuing a football career since she was in 8th grade. Initially, Ngan's mother did not want her daughter to pursue this sport, but after seeing her daughter's perseverance and passion, she agreed.
"I remember at first, I didn't let Ngan play soccer, but Ngan asked her teacher to ask her mother to let her join. When the teacher asked, I agreed. Later, when I saw my daughter pursuing her passion for soccer, I also became passionate about it. Now that Ngan is playing, no matter how far I have to go, I will try to go watch," Ms. Tuyet added.
With impressive achievements and passion, Tuyet Ngan has made a strong mark in her football career, making her family and fans extremely proud.
Ngan's mother also hopes to have the opportunity to accompany her daughter to faraway places and watch her compete in international tournaments. "Ngan said that she has not taken her mother abroad to watch her play soccer, if there is any chance, I will try to go with her to watch my daughter compete," Tuyet Ngan's mother confided.
