On August 25, the U18 Vietnam team officially gathered at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to prepare for the Seoul Eou Cup 2025.
This time, the U18 Vietnam team has a total of 32 players called up. Notably, among them, there are many faces that have participated in the 2025 U17 Asian Cup finals such as goalkeeper Hoa Xuan Tin, defenders Nguyen Hong Quang, Le Tan Dung, midfielders Dau Hong Phong, Nguyen Van Khanh, strikers Hoang Trong Duy Khang, Nguyen Van Bach, Nguyen Thien Phu...

This is a key force that the coaching staff hopes to help the U18 Vietnam team gain more international experience, while creating a foundation for future long-term goals.
However, this squad is not the strongest of the U18 Vietnam team, as many excellent players are absent due to injuries or are playing for their home clubs in the V.League and national youth tournaments.
The U18 Vietnam team will be led by coach Yutaka Ikeuchi, a Japanese football expert with many years of experience.
Mr. Ikeuchi was born in 1961 in Aichi, and had an impressive playing career at Fujita Club (Shonan Bellmare) and the Japanese national team in the period of 1981-85. After retiring, he moved to coaching and has long been associated with the Japan Football Association (JFA), holding important positions such as head coach of the U15, U16, U17 Japan teams; JFA youth training director and lecturer of coaching courses.

Mr. Ikeuchi also holds an "S" coaching certificate from the JFA and is considered one of the leading young football development experts in Japan.
Previously, in February, Mr. Yutaka Ikeuchi took on the role of technical supervision advisor for the U17 Vietnam team participating in the 2025 U17 Asian Cup.
According to the schedule, the U18 Vietnam team will train in Hanoi until September 19 before leaving for Korea to participate in the Seoul Eou Cup 2025 international tournament, taking place from September 21 to 28 in Seoul.
This year's tournament will gather 8 quality young teams, including Vietnam U18 team, Seoul FA (the best team in Seoul), K League U18 All Star (voted for U18 K League), Gangneung Jungang High School (reigning champion of the Korean High School Championship), Kanto University (Japan), U18 Johor Darul Ta'im (Malaysia), U18 Buriram United (Thailand), and U18 Zhejiang (China).
With a potential squad, the U18 Vietnam team is expected to have impressive performances at the Seoul Eou Cup 2025, while accumulating more experience for international goals in the future.
