Recently, on his personal page, coach Park Hang-seo shared a photo with Doan Van Hau, Ha Duc Chinh and Tran Dinh Trong, with the caption: "Congratulations to Chuseok (Korean thanksgiving Day)".
In the photo, Mr. Park Hang-seo is sitting in the middle, arms tightly hugging his former students. Van Hau, Duc Chinh and Dinh Trong also comfortably leaned closely on the former head coach of the Vietnam football team.
In recent years, although not leading the Vietnam national team, Mr. Park Hang-seo and the players have always maintained a close relationship. They often interact and joke with each other on social media. When the opportunity arose, teachers and students gathered together to eat together to recall memories.
A few days ago, on the occasion of coach Park Hang-seo's 68th birthday, many players sent their congratulations to him.
Since his time working in Vietnam, the coach born in 1957 has always received the attention and love of generations of former students on the special day.
During a talk show in Korea in early 2025, coach Park Hang-seo shared about the Vietnamese players. He said that when they were working together, the coaching staff and players often played, talked comfortably, and ate together. The Korean strategist affirmed that he and his students are like a family.
Coach Park Hang-seo came to Vietnam to work since 2017 and has been with the national teams for 5 years. The 68-year-old coach has helped Vietnam achieve many achievements such as the 2018 U23 Asian Runner-up, 4th place at the ASIAD, winning the 2018 ASEAN Cup, gold medal at the 30th and 31st SEA Games, entering the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup as well as maintaining a position in the top 100 on the FIFA rankings for many consecutive years.
