The Vietnamese women's team started smoothly in the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship qualifiers. With home advantage and superior class, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team won a big 7-0 victory over Maldives.
In the second round of Group E, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will meet a direct competitor for the ticket to the next round, the UAE. This is a decisive match for both teams.
On the other side of the front line, the UAE women's team went through a series of unstable performances with 5 consecutive matches without a win.
