On November 22, the Hanoi City Football Federation (HNFF) Congress for the 2025-2030 term took place. The event is considered an important milestone, opening a new development stage for football in the capital.
The Congress was also attended by representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation, including Vice President Tran Anh Tu, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu and leaders of professional departments.
In the report presented at the Congress, HNFF looks back at the 2020-2025 term with many outstanding activities. Major tournaments such as Hanoi Serie A, Hanoi Serie B, the 11th City People's Championship or the Hanoi International Women's Football Tournament 2024 are held annually, creating a quality playground for the movement.
Along with that, a series of 7-a-side tournaments and futsal in coordination with socialized units have helped the football movement in the area maintain its excitement.
At the professional level, Hanoi FC, Phu Dong and Thai Son Bac clubs continue to affirm their position in the national competition system. The training of coaches and referees has also been promoted, contributing to improving the quality of personnel for both the movement and the top competition.
Entering the 2025-2030 period, HNFF agreed to focus on 12 key tasks. In particular, the plan to strongly develop grassroots and school football, maintain the strength of women's football, expand cooperation to support clubs, strengthen communication - sponsorship and regularly organize key tournaments.
The Congress also elected an Executive Committee of 13 members and an Inspection Committee of 3 members.
Accordingly, Mr. To Van Dong received high trust and continued to hold the position of Chairman of the Hanoi Football Federation. The Standing Committee has 5 members, of which Mr. Do Van Nhat is Vice Chairman and General Secretary.
Speaking at the event, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu highly appreciated the results that the Hanoi Football Federation has achieved and affirmed that VFF will continue to accompany the capital's football in the coming term, in order to contribute to promoting the overall development of Vietnamese football.
