On the evening of July 29, U23 Vietnam excellently defeated U23 Indonesia with a score of 1-0 in the final match to successfully defend the U23 Southeast Asian Championship. This is the third consecutive time the "Golden Star Warriors" have been crowned in the regional arena.
After this impressive achievement, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wrote a congratulatory letter to coach Kim Sang-sik and his team.

The Prime Minister emphasized that throughout the competition journey, the players demonstrated a resilient fighting spirit, confidence, calmness and steadfastness, creating emotional moments, adding confidence, pride and strong inspiration to millions of Vietnamese people at home and abroad.
This victory is not only an excellent sporting achievement but also a symbol of the will to rise up, the continuous efforts of the Vietnamese youth - the generation that continues to write the dream of reaching the continental and world arenas.
The Prime Minister especially thanked millions of fans nationwide for always accompanying, standing side by side and being a solid support for the team throughout the journey to conquer the highest position in the U23 region.
In addition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also suggested that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly reward and encourage the players, coaching staff and the national team.
The Prime Minister hopes that the players will continue to practice, maintain their form, solidarity, modesty and further promote the successes they have achieved.
