On July 31, it was noted that at the Rach Mieu 2 bridge construction site - a key project connecting the two provinces of Vinh Long and Dong Thap - the atmosphere was bustling but full of excitement when the main items were completed. According to the plan, the project will be inaugurated and officially opened to traffic on the occasion of National Day on September 2.
Mr. Pham Van Dat - in charge of package No. 2 said that up to this point, the workload within the unit's scope has been 100% completed, ensuring progress and technical requirements.
According to Mr. Dat, there are currently only a few workers at the construction site who are performing the final stages such as cleaning, collecting labor tools and cleaning the construction area.
I feel really proud to contribute to a major project, which has the meaning of connecting and developing the entire Mekong Delta region. Now we just have to wait for the inauguration day, everyone is excited, Mr. Dat expressed in excitement.

In package No. 3, Mr. Ho Van Huan - technical officer in charge of the construction said that up to now, the construction progress has reached about 99%. The main items have been basically completed, ensuring technical requirements and progress according to plan.
According to Mr. Huan, the remaining work is mainly installing expansion joints, cleaning the construction site and reviewing all locations that have been constructed to prepare for handover.
We are focusing on completing the final details. Although there is only 1% left, the whole team still takes it very seriously to ensure safety and quality for the opening day, Mr. Huan shared.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, up to now, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge has been basically completed on schedule. The construction items must ensure quality, safety and environmental sanitation in accordance with technical regulations.
It is expected that the project will be inaugurated and put into operation before September 2, opening a new chapter in traffic connectivity between Vinh Long and Dong Thap provinces, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the entire Mekong Delta.
Rach Mieu 2 Bridge has a scale of 4 lanes, a design speed of 80km/h, with a total investment of more than 6,810 billion VND. After being put into use, the project will significantly reduce the load on National Highway 60 and the existing Rach Mieu Bridge - where traffic jams often occur during peak holidays and Tet.
