On the morning of August 3, the Vietnam women's team had an incense offering activity at the Women's General Le Chan Monument (Hai Phong) as a way to express gratitude for history and add spirit before the major regional tournament.
This is a meaningful activity starting the competition campaign at the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship taking place at home.

According to the organizing committee's plan, from August 4, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will move to stay at Mercure Hai Phong Hotel - a place reserved for the teams participating in the tournament. The Vietnam women's team was the earliest team to arrive at the competition venue, starting training from July 30 and having had 2 sessions to get acquainted at Lach Tray Stadium.
Before the tournament, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the training process in Cam Pha (Quang Ninh) and Hai Phong in the past few days has gone smoothly. Despite the hot weather and high intensity of training, the players all showed serious spirit, diligence and completed the training program well.
The most important thing is that the whole team has no injuries, is in stable physical condition, and is ready to enter the official competition. During the tournament, the team will maintain a practice schedule in the evenings to adapt well to the 7:30 p.m. competition schedule.

On August 4, coach Mai Duc Chung will announce the team's official registration list, before the technical press conference with the A team on August 5 at Pullman Hai Phong hotel.
According to the match schedule, the Vietnam women's team will meet Cambodia (6.8), Indonesia (9.8) and Thailand (8. 12). This is an opportunity for Huynh Nhu and her teammates to show their mettle, aiming to compete for the Southeast Asian championship right at home.
