After finishing the training session in Quang Ninh, the Vietnam women's team moved to Hai Phong on July 30. That same afternoon, the whole team entered the first training session at Vin Cau Rao 2 Stadium. This is the team's final preparation stage before entering the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.
The session took place in hot weather conditions, although it was arranged to be late after 4pm to avoid the heat. The hot temperatures required players to maintain their physical foundation and high concentration. However, the whole team still showed positive spirit and enthusiasm during the training process.
Coach Mai Duc Chung and captain Huynh Nhu are absent due to being on their way back from Australia, after attending the draw for the 2026 Asian Cup Women's finals.
During this time, the assistants have directly managed the training session, deployed professional training programs with flexible start-ups and small games to create a comfortable atmosphere for the players.
The key professional content of the training session is the 3-spoke pressing test - to practice small group coordination skills, flexible movement and organization to put pressure on opponents. This is one of the key lessons applied by the coaching staff to help the players improve their ability to control the tempo of the match.
According to the plan, the Vietnam women's team will stay at The Shine Hotel (Hai Phong) until August 3. From August 4, the whole team will move to the Pullman Hotel - the official accommodation of the tournament organizing committee.
Coach Mai Duc Chung is expected to attend the pre-tournament press conference with the A-teams on August 5 in Hai Phong city.
At the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, the Vietnam women's team is in Group A, facing opponents Cambodia (6.8), Indonesia (9.8) and Thailand (8. 12).
This is an opportunity for the Vietnam women's team to continue to affirm its position in the region, while reviewing the force towards longer-term goals in 2026.
