On the morning of October 20, the Vietnam U17 team visited and offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings at the Hung Temple Historical Site. This activity has become a traditional feature of the national football teams every time they return to their homeland to compete in international tournaments.
At Dien Kinh Thien on top of Nghia Linh mountain, the coaching staff, players and all members of the Vietnam U17 team respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic spirits of the Hung Kings who built the country.
The team also reported on the achievements made in the preparation for the 2025 U17 Asian qualifiers, notably the runner-up position at the 2024 U16 Peace Cup held in China - where the Vietnam U17 team made a strong impression by defeating two Asian youth football powers, U16 Uzbekistan and U16 Japan, with scores of 3-0 and 1-0 respectively.
Before the souls of the Hung Kings, head coach Cristiano Roland, the coaching staff and the players of the Vietnam U17 team vow to unite, practice hard, and compete with all their might for the country's flag and colors to dedicate to fans across the country.
The team showed their determination to complete the set goals in Group I of the 2025 AFC U17 qualifiers, which will be held at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho Province from October 23 to October 27.
