On the afternoon of March 21, at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC), a press conference was held before the match between HCMC women's club and Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League for women (commonly known as the Asian Cup C1 Women) 2024-2025.
Here, striker Huynh Nhu of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club gave reviews of opponent Abu Dhabi Country.
She said: "Before the quarter-final, I studied their opponents and their playing style. They have many foreign players with good expertise.
This is a formidable opponent. However, the chance to continue is divided equally between both teams, whoever takes advantage of the opportunity will win. Playing at home, Ho Chi Minh City will try to get the best result".
Huynh Nhu said that Ho Chi Minh City's disadvantage over the representative from the UAE is the physical problem. However, she and her teammates were given exercises by the coach to face the big opponent.

"The HCMC women's team has foreign players and overseas Vietnamese to have some big moves, thanks to you to have a better direction. The team's players from the UAE are bigger - we also have a plan to fight the ball.
Thanks to the foreign players, the team has a better atmosphere, even though the opponent is tall, they are not afraid. Try your best to win this match.
This is the first time the team has reached the quarter-finals. The group stage is very confident, the coaching staff does not focus on achievements for the team but to accumulate experience, going as far as possible.
So in this match, we have nothing to fear or worry about. If the victory is historic for Vietnam," Huynh Nhu said.
Regarding the new foreign players recruited by the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, Huynh Nhu commented: "The new foreign players are only for a short time, so the exchange is not good, they need to adapt quickly.
The students get along well, after the practice session, go out to eat together, visit, and discuss more to understand each other better. You guys are ready".
Coach Nguyen Hong Pham of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club also set a goal of winning against Abu Dhabi Country.
He said: "We have reached the quarter-finals, all teams are worthy. They are formidable opponents. We will play at home and are determined to win."
"The foreign players encountered some difficulties with procedures and weather changes. But they integrate quickly, after training trips," Mr. Pham added about the foreign players.
The match between the Ho Chi Minh City women's team and Abu Dhabi Country will take place at 19:00 tomorrow (March 22) at Thong Nhat Stadium.
