According to Lao Dong, as of 5:00 p.m. today (July 23), Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) has not yet received a response from Quang Nam club about whether to continue participating in V.League 2025-2026.
It is known that also this afternoon, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang held an urgent meeting with Quang Nam Football Development Joint Stock Company to find a way to save the Quang Doi team.
At the same time, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang have asked for an extension to send an official response to VPF tomorrow (July 24-) regarding the fate of the Quang team.
Previously, this morning, VPF sent another document to Quang Nam to confirm registration to compete in the 2025-2026 season. The deadline was given as 5:00 p.m. on July 23.
As Lao Dong reported, on the other hand, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has notified the members of the Executive Committee of the 9th tenure to vote on the plan to organize the V.League next season in case Quang Nam does not participate in the V.League.
VFF is offering two options for the Executive Committee to vote on. The first option is to keep all 13 participating teams and only have one relegation spot to ensure stability.
The second option is to add Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc club - the second-placed team in the National First Division to ensure the initial number of 14 teams.
The option that receives a higher consensus will be implemented.
