Regular health check-ups help union members feel secure in sticking with businesses

In order to care for the lives and health of union members and workers, the Nam Dinh Ward Trade Union, Ninh Binh province, has coordinated with An Nhien Medical and Pharmaceutical Services Co., Ltd. to organize a free health check-up program for about 200 union members, workers, and laborers in the area.

Being X-rayed and given a free health check-up, Ms. Ngoi Thi Hue (worker at Nam Ha Garment Company) shared: "The production work is often quite busy, so sometimes I don't have time to go for health check-ups. Being organized for a free health check-up by the union like this makes me very excited. After the examination, the doctor also advised on how to take care of my health and a suitable diet to ensure the best for my health during the working process.

Attached to Bac Ha Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company for 6 years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang said that in addition to the concern of the Ward Trade Union, workers are also regularly organized periodic health check-ups by the grassroots trade union and the company. Such activities help union members feel more secure in the working process, promptly detect health problems for early treatment.

Not only Ms. Hue and Ms. Trang, many union members said that this activity shows the practical concern of the Trade Union organization for workers. Thereby, helping workers become more attached to businesses and feel secure in labor production.

In addition to medical examination activities, the team of doctors and nurses also directly advises employees on measures to prevent occupational diseases and maintain health in hot weather conditions and high working intensity.

Mr. Tran Van Lich - Chairman of Nam Dinh Ward Trade Union, Ninh Binh province - said that caring for the material, spiritual and health life of union members and workers is always one of the key tasks of the Trade Union organization.

According to the Chairman of Nam Dinh Ward Trade Union, in the coming time, Nam Dinh Ward Trade Union will continue to coordinate with businesses and health units to organize more practical care activities such as health counseling, supporting union members in difficult circumstances, and organizing cultural and sports activities for workers. This free health check-up program not only has the meaning of simple health care but also demonstrates the role of the Trade Union organization accompanying workers.
