On November 24, a representative of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union said that since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union has proactively developed and issued official dispatches and instructions to guide trade unions at all levels to focus on implementing the functions of propaganda, education, and mobilizing workers to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the Resolutions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union.
During the year, there were 719 propaganda and education campaigns; the number of union members and workers who studied, propagated, and disseminated the Party's Directives and Resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and the Union's Resolutions was 51,373 people.
Trade unions at all levels have also widely disseminated to union members, workers, civil servants, laborers (CNVCLD) and the whole society about the glorious tradition of 95 years of Vietnam Trade Union and of the Vietnamese working class; the position, role, functions, tasks and great contributions of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in 95 years of formation and development. In response to and to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union, many units have organized cultural, artistic and sports activities.
Vietnam Rubber Union also participated in the program "9th Hour+" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with 2 teams from Binh Long Rubber Company Limited and Loc Ninh Rubber Company Limited. Through the program, workers demonstrated their personal talents, professional skills, knowledge, and grasp of legal policies. This is a television playground for union members and employees after work hours.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union and the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group jointly organized the launching ceremony of the Workers' Month with the theme "Solidarity of workers, implementation of the Resolution" and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene with the theme "Strengthening occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace and in the supply chain" which was launched on May 4, 2024 and lasted for 3 months (from May to the end of July) with outstanding activities such as honoring 233 outstanding Vietnamese rubber workers for the 8th time, including a logo and a bonus of 2 million VND/worker, the total reward amount is 466 million VND; visiting and encouraging 94 workers who had occupational accidents with a disability rate of over 31% over the past many years in the whole industry, with an amount of 372 million VND (including 2 million VND in cash and 1 gift); supported 29 cases of serious illness with the amount of 290 million VND; many collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded.
Vietnam Rubber Industry Group coordinated with the Department of Labor Safety, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize a conference to train and disseminate policies on labor law; organized occupational safety and hygiene training for representatives of leaders of member units of the Group, labor safety workers, representatives of trade union executive committees at all levels with nearly 250 delegates from 55 affiliated units...
