In that urgent situation, the Trade Union of Vietnam Steel Corporation - JSC has promptly, wholeheartedly and responsibly organized timely relief shipments to reach the hands of workers.
Receiving information from grassroots trade unions in Thai Nguyen about rising and receding water and slowing down, many workers' housing areas are scattered everywhere, with houses flooded to the roof, food almost exhausted, the Vietnam Steel Corporation Trade Union - JSC immediately mobilized forces, urgently prepared instant noodles, sausages, dry food, bread, milk, drinking water and green vegetables to deliver to the two most severely affected units, Thai Nguyen Steel Corporation and NsteelVina Company Limited. The total value is nearly 70 million VND.
The working group handed over the above goods to the Chairmen of the Trade Unions of the two units, Thai Nguyen Gang Steel Joint Stock Company and NlizedelVina Company Limited, for the Trade Union officials to hand over to the families of workers trapped in heavily flooded alleys and hamlets.
Not only providing timely support to workers in Thai Nguyen, the Trade Union of Vietnam Steel Corporation - JSC also went to Viet Trung Metallurgy Minerals Company (Lao Cai) - where workers are still overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10.
Here, Chairman of the Vietnam Steel Corporation Trade Union Vuong Duy Khanh presented support to 19 workers' families, each family with 2 million VND, along with words of encouragement: The Trade Union always accompanies brothers and sisters - regardless of the circumstances.
