Accordingly, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union attended the inauguration ceremony of phase 1 of the housing project for officials and workers of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant in Tam Quang commune, Nghe An province and presented gifts on the occasion of Workers' Month 2026.
According to the report of the Director of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant, a unit directly under Vietnam Power Development Joint Stock Company, after more than 1 year of construction (January 2025), the housing project for officials and workers has been completed and put into operation phase 1 with a scale of 16 apartments (phase 1 has completed phase N2 including 10 apartments), meeting 6 households and 20 workers working at the Plant; total investment value is about 14 billion VND.
The inauguration of phase 1 not only contributes to improving living and living conditions for workers but also creates an important foundation for the unit to aim for the goal of completing the entire building by 2026. This is a practical step, showing the thinking of "improving the quality of life" for workers in remote and isolated areas of the electricity industry.
Representative of the Trade Union of Power Generation Corporation 1, Mr. Tran Doan Thanh, Chairman of the Trade Union, said: The project is the result of inheritance and continuity in the policy of caring for workers through many stages. The project was put into use in the context that the previous living conditions of officials and employees were still difficult, so it has a lot of meaning in caring for workers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union emphasized the consistent viewpoint: Caring for workers is caring for the most precious assets of the enterprise. Along with praising the efforts of units in eliminating temporary living conditions, the Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also requested the collective of officials and employees after enjoying new facilities to improve their responsibility and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
On this occasion, on the occasion of Workers' Month, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union presented gifts to workers of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant.
