Attending the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress, for the 2025-2030 period, there are Mr. Phan Van Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee; Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; representatives of the Office of the President, the Government Office, and the Ministry of Finance.
Attending were Mr. Dang Hoang An - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Board of Members, Board of General Directors, leaders of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, Corporations, and member units under the Group.
The 2020-2025 period is a challenging journey but also marks the outstanding achievements of EVN, with the core being the strength of solidarity and the continuous efforts of the team of staff and workers. With courage, dedication and the spirit of overcoming difficulties, EVN workers have made an important contribution to the safe operation and stability of the power system, ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development and people's lives.
They are workers who work day and night to closely follow the construction site, speeding up the progress of key power source and grid projects, with the total investment value of EVN in the 2020-2025 period reaching VND 513,945 billion. This effort has brought many projects to the finish line on schedule and ahead of schedule, typically the completion of the 500kV Line 3 Project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi - a miracle and pride of the Vietnamese electricity industry. In addition, the Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion project has marked the completion and ahead of schedule, especially the second plant, which was completed 18 days ahead of schedule...
The special thing is that patriotic emulation movements at EVN are not only formal but truly become endogenous motivation, promoting a sense of responsibility, creativity and solidarity throughout the Group.
Over the past 5 years, many meaningful emulation movements have been widely implemented, bringing practical results. One of them is the "10 thousand initiatives" movement responding to the "1 million initiatives" Program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the movement has received a strong response, exceeding the set target by 129%, contributing to improving production and business efficiency and labor productivity. Many useful solutions and initiatives have been applied, including 240 solutions/ initiatives recognized at EVN level.
At the Congress, 77 typical advanced individuals with outstanding achievements, typical in the 2020-2025 period were honored. The Congress also summarized the emulation movements for the period 2020-2025 and set out directions and tasks for the period 2025-2030.
The Congress was held to honor the great contributions of collectives and individuals, while inspiring and motivating EVN to continue to steadfastly follow and excellently complete all political tasks assigned by the Party and the State, all employees of the Group strive and strive together to light up the trust to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Do Duc Hung shared that with the guidance and deep attention of EVN leaders and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, union members and workers in the electricity industry on key projects in particular, in all areas of the Group's work have always been encouraged and created all conditions to contribute their intelligence and strength. Thereby creating overall strength, overcoming all difficulties, and completing assigned tasks best.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized: The emulation movements launched by EVN not only bring efficiency in the Group but also spread to many other fields.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is very interested in and highly appreciates the emulation movements as well as the patriotic emulation spirit of the union members and workers of EVN.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also highly appreciates the model of close coordination between the Trade Union and the profession, creating the collective strength of EVN. Thereby, it is clear that the active and accompanying role of the Trade Union towards the Group. Power Trade Unions at all levels are always the core to organize emulation movements; do a good job of caring for union members and workers, especially union members and workers working on key projects.
Also at the Congress, Mr. Dang Hoang An - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN Group affirmed that the direction, attention and close coordination of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is an important factor for EVN's emulation movements to achieve good results as in the past.
