On January 30 (the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year 2025), Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union (GTVT) said that the affiliated trade unions at all levels have coordinated with their professional counterparts to develop a plan to take care of Tet for workers.
Accordingly, trade unions at all levels in the transport sector coordinate with their professional counterparts to develop plans and solutions to ensure security and safety of people and property during the Tet holiday.
For units with construction projects during Tet, there are plans to arrange and organize forces, organize construction, ensure labor safety and protect property, and maintain security and order.
Implementing Plan No. 139/KH-TLD dated October 8, 2024 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing the online "Union Tet Market 2025" Program, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union issued Document No. 752/CDN dated October 30, 2024 to all grassroots and affiliated trade unions in the entire industry, with 744 union members and 44 union officials registering to participate in the online "Union Tet Market 2025".
Up to now, units in the industry have organized delegations to visit and give gifts to poor workers, workers in especially difficult circumstances, and policy families on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
On the occasion of Tet, working delegations of the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Transport Trade Union led by leaders of the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Transport Trade Union visited and presented gifts to support workers in difficult circumstances.
The Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund visited, supported, and gave Tet gifts to 55 units and 1,008 individuals who are employees of units in the transport sector, former Youth Volunteers, and former soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, with a total expenditure of more than 2,354 billion VND.
