This is one of the contents emphasized by Party Central Committee member, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung at the visit and presentation of Tet gifts to disadvantaged workers at Thanh Hai Industrial Park, Ninh Thuan.

Special contribution of workers

At Thanh Hai Industrial Park, a working delegation of leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Planning and Investment and Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and presented gifts to 100 disadvantaged workers working at enterprises in the Industrial Park.

Speaking to workers, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung affirmed that in 2024, the domestic and international situation had many fluctuations, however, Vietnam had many positive results in socio-economic development with a growth rate of 7.09%. This result had special contributions from workers.

2025 will be the year Vietnam enters a new era of development, each locality and each enterprise must set higher goals. Mr. Dung highly appreciated the Vietnam Trade Union and all levels for organizing and maintaining activities to visit, encourage and care for workers, and at the same time requested businesses, organizations and localities to continue to care for the material and spiritual life of workers, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year. Workers and enterprises proactively innovate, improve technology, production processes, and increase labor productivity to create many high-quality products.

“Caring for workers will create motivation and energy for us to achieve the growth target for 2025,” Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized.

Efforts to ensure every worker has a fulfilling Tet

At the year-end gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor paid attention to the employment situation, salaries, benefits and welfare policies that the enterprise offers to workers at Thanh Hai Industrial Park.
In particular, talking with the Chairman of the Trade Union and the leaders of Canh Dong Viet Food Joint Stock Company, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan was excited to know that in 2024, the union members and employees will be guaranteed an increase in income by the enterprise.The union and the enterprise's leaders have had many programs to take good care of the material and spiritual life of union members.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan hopes that this coordination will continue to be promoted and at the same time suggests that trade unions at all levels in the province will closely work with the grassroots to promptly provide material and spiritual support to each worker during this Tet holiday.

Ms. Ho Thi Hanh - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in Ninh Thuan Province - said that this year's Tet care program has many new features. In particular, the Industrial Park Trade Union will organize a contest to "Wrap Chung Cake", decorate "Display the Tet fruit tray", play the folk game "Smash the piggy bank" and a Tet market booth for all union members and employees to participate in buying goods at preferential prices.

It is expected that there will be 9 zero-dong booths of supporting units with 200 zero-dong shopping vouchers for union members at the Tet market program. The Industrial Park Trade Union will also give 1,400 Tet gifts to union members in difficult circumstances; give train and bus tickets to workers to return home for Tet. Cooperate with leaders of agencies, units, and business owners to visit, wish Tet, and give gifts to union members and workers at affiliated trade unions who are in difficult circumstances or have serious illnesses and cannot return home for Tet...
