More than 5,469 billion VND to support people affected by storm No. 3

Up to now, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund has received more than 5,469 billion VND to support people affected by storm No. 3.

On October 7, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union said that as of October 6, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund had received more than VND 5,469 billion from support from agencies, units, businesses and individuals inside and outside the transport sector to send to people affected by storm No. 3.

Previously, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the appeal letter of the Minister of Transport and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on mobilizing support for compatriots affected by storm No. 3, officials, workers, civil servants, and employees of the Transport sector responded to the movement of "mutual love and affection", "sharing food and clothes" to support at least one day's salary and businesses actively responded...

On the afternoon of September 13, the leaders of the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Transport Trade Union presented 4 billion VND (first round of support) to the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promptly share the difficulties and losses that people have encountered.

According to Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union, the list of supporters is made public on the website of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union, the remaining amount will be transferred by the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front according to regulations.

In addition, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union also organized many visits and gave gifts to transport workers who overcame difficulties to ensure traffic, were on duty, and overcame the consequences of the recent storm No. 3.
