Improving housing, regenerating labor
Hon Gai Coal Company currently has three collective housing areas for workers with a capacity of nearly 1,000 workers, including: Giap Khau Collective Housing Area, 5-storey AB Collective Housing Area (Cao Xanh Ward) and a collective housing area for 19 households. Each 45m2 collective room, for four workers, is fully air conditioned, with hot air, washing machines, televisions, refrigerators and wifi.
To improve the quality of workers' lives, the company has implemented a competition program "Clean and beautiful rooms", periodically scoring and classifying rooms according to specific criteria.
Mr. Le Xuan Hoat - a worker at the Drainage and ventilation workshop - shared: "I am from Hai Duong, and have been with Hon Gai Coal Company for 18 years. The company arranges accommodation in the 5-storey AB apartment complex with full amenities such as a library, dining room, gym, and soccer field to help workers have space to rest, exercise, and relax after work. This makes us feel secure in our work and stick with the job for a long time.
According to Mr. Vu Dai Chung, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hon Gai Coal Company, in 2025, the year of its 70th anniversary, the company has proposed that TKV invest in building a 7-storey housing area with about 400 rooms in Cao Xanh ward, Ha Long city. After completion, the housing area will arrange a separate room for a worker with an area of 20-25m2, fully equipped with facilities, creating favorable conditions for health regeneration and ensuring labor productivity.
