The Ministry of Education and Training announced a draft Circular regulating the Vocational Regulations for teachers at preschools to collect comments.
This Circular stipulates the professional standards of preschool teachers according to each title, including: tasks; standards on professional ethics; standards on training and fostering qualifications; standards on professional competence and skills.
Article 3 of the draft Circular stipulates the duties of teachers in preschool education institutions. Specifically as follows:
1. The task of preschool teachers
a) Carry out child care, education according to the educational plan of the school and professional group; be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of child care, care and education in the group or class assigned to him under the Preschool Education Program; carry out integration education and children's rights;
b) Health training; completing courses and training programs for expertise and profession; self-study, self-training to improve political, professional and technical qualifications; participating in professional activities; preserving and using assigned educational equipment;
c) Coordinate with parents or guardians of children and the community in raising, caring for, and educating children;
d) Performing the obligations of citizens, legal regulations, the education sector, schools and localities;
d) Perform other tasks assigned by the principal.
2. The main task of preschool teachers
In addition to the duties of preschool teachers, preschool teachers must perform the following tasks:
a) Be a reporter or teach illustrations at training classes for preschool teachers at school level or higher; guide colleagues in implementing programs and activities to nurture, care for and educate children;
b) Propose training and thematic activities for professional groups (blocks);
c) Participating in the judging panel of preschool competitions from school level and above;
d) Participating in other professional activities such as self-assessment councils or external assessment teams; checking the expertise and pedagogical skills of schools at the school level or higher; participating in guiding and evaluating pedagogical internships of students (if any).
3. The task of a senior preschool teacher
In addition to the duties of a primary school teacher, senior preschool teachers must perform the following tasks:
a) Participating in editing or compiling the content of documents on training preschool teachers at the commune level or higher;
b) Participating in training or advising, proposing or consulting, supporting, guiding, and sharing professional knowledge and skills for preschool teachers from school level and above;
c) Participating in the judging panel of competitions of preschool education levels from the commune level and above;
d) Participate in self-assessment councils or external assessment teams or take professional and pedagogical tests at the commune level or higher.
