Korean cuisine is always loved for its diverse dishes, rich in spices and Bulgogi is especially popular. Although Bulgogi is usually made from beef, the pork variation promises to bring an equally delicious flavor.
Housewives can refer to the recipe for spicy minced pork Bulgogi below to treat family members on the weekend.
To make Pork Bulgogi, housewives need to prepare 600gr minced pork (should choose lean shoulder part); 40gr Korean chili paste (Gochujang); 20gr Korean chili powder; 1 onion; 2 green onions; 40ml Japanese mirin wine; 40ml soy sauce; 20gr brown sugar; 3gr minced ginger; 20ml sesame oil and 20gr white roasted sesame seeds.
In a large bowl, whisk together the chili sauce, chili powder, soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and white sesame seeds. This spice mixture gives the pork its distinctive aroma.
Add minced pork to the spice mixture and mix well to coat the meat with spices. Marinate the meat for about 20 - 30 minutes.
Next, heat the pan over medium heat, add a little cooking oil and stir-fry the pork. Housewives should be careful to stir evenly so that the meat does not clump together. After about 10 minutes, add the thinly sliced onions and continue to stir quickly until the meat is fully cooked. Season to taste if necessary, then turn off the heat.
Sprinkle chopped green onions on top of the minced pork and enjoy. When eating Spicy Minced Pork Bulgogi, serve it with white rice or roll it with lettuce, cucumber and kimchi to enhance the delicious flavor.
