On March 17, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police said that Hoa Hiep Commune Police (Xuyen Moc District) quickly supported a Frenchman of Vietnamese origin to find his biological mother and family after 27 years of separation.
At around 10:00 a.m. the same day, Ms. Saltet De Sablet D'estieres Gabrielle Charlotte (French nationality, Vietnamese name Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, 27 years old) went to Hoa Hiep Commune Police, Xuyen Moc District to report the incident and ask to find relatives.
Unable to speak Vietnamese, Ms. Hong presented some documents and asked someone to help translate, expressing her desire to find her parents, Mr. Nguyen Van Tien and Mrs. Nguyen Trung Hiep (in Hoa Hiep commune, Xuyen Moc district). On October 29, 1998, Mrs. Hiep gave birth to twins to two daughters, Ms. Hong and her younger sister Nguyen Thi Kim Loan.
About a month later, due to family circumstances, her parents agreed to let a French family adopt both of them and take them to France. The passports of Ms. Hong and her two sisters still have Vietnamese names and the place of birth is "Hoa Hiep". After that, her adoptive parents brought the two sisters to Vietnam to visit but could not meet her biological parents because they had moved to another place.
Recently, Ms. Hong returned to Vietnam, stayed in Ho Tram and really wanted to find her biological parents. Knowing the information that on March 18, Ms. Hong had to go to Hanoi and then return to France, Hoa Hiep Commune Police urgently verified the information to support.
At around 12:00 on the same day, the police had determined that Ms. Hiep's residence was in Xuyen Moc commune, where Mr. Tien had died many years ago. Therefore, the police invited Ms. Hiep and her family to the headquarters to meet Ms. Hong.
Through some information from Ms. Hiep, it was further confirmed that Ms. Hong and her younger sister were Ms. Hiep's daughters. Meeting each other again, the mother and child expressed their joy and happiness, and sent their thanks to the authorities for supporting the connection and helping the family reunite after 27 years of losing contact...
