Store clams in the refrigerator

Store clams by freezing
In case you want to extend the storage time, freezing is the most effective way.

The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Separate the fresh clams. Step 2: Divide the freshly sliced clams into pieces and place in a sealed bag or box.
Step 3: Put in the freezer and freeze quickly at around -18°C.

Do not defrost with hot water because high temperatures will cause clams to lose their freshness.
Some things to note when preserving clams
Do not soak clams in water for too long as this will make clams more susceptible to death.You should only soak clams for about 1-2 hours.
Do not wrap the clams in a sealed plastic bag and refrigerate them because this will cause the clams to lack oxygen, leading to damaged clams.
