Born in 1965 in Hanoi, Ms. Pham Thi Hien soon had to face difficulties when a paralyzed fever for more than a year took away her mobility, making her life a non-stop battle.
Despite her physical disability, her heart has never yielded. It is the resilience and endless love from the family that has helped this woman overcome the painful days, even though the consequences of the disease continue to follow throughout her life.
From the first days of practicing sewing, Ms. Hien has constantly learned and strived to become a shining example of determination and dedication.
Participating in the Hoan Kiem District Association of People with Disabilities since 2009, Ms. Hien has helped people in the same situation, created job opportunities and developed projects that bring sustainable benefits to the disadvantaged. One of the typical projects is "Recycled fabric flowers create livelihoods for disabled women".

Ms. Pham Thi Hien connects with factories and garment fashion units to support disabled women. At the scrap fabric recycling workshop, Ms. Pham Thi Hien enthusiastically guides and teaches female members to process finished products.
Ms. Hien shared that, "Women with disabilities often feel self-conscious, do not have the opportunity to participate in social activities, and are even discriminated against. I want to create a playground, where they not only have jobs but also show creativity, are recognized and honored".
This project not only helps people with disabilities have a stable source of income but also contributes to raising awareness of environmental protection.
In 2024, the project was honored to receive the Encouragement Prize of the "Creative Women of the Capital - Green Transformation" contest. This is not only a recognition of her persistent efforts but also a motivation for Ms. Hien and the members to continue to expand the model, helping many disadvantaged people.
Participating in the "Love Station" program is also an opportunity to honor the extraordinary efforts of people with disabilities. With the dream of expanding the scale of the project and providing vocational training for more disabled people, Ms. Hien constantly strives to gain the support of benefactors, non-governmental organizations and the community.
Even small contributions can help the disadvantaged have a better life, be more confident and not be left behind.
The program Love Station has the theme Brilliant Journey with the story of Ms. Pham Thi Hien, a brave and resilient woman who spreads love for the disabled community, will air at 10:00 on February 15 on VTV1 channel.
