In 46 years of life, I have never been married. I have not had a wedding ceremony or signed a marriage certificate with anyone, I still hold a singles certificate in my hand.
I used to have a family life that lasted nearly 10 years and had two children, even without a wedding ceremony or marriage certificate, it was still a close relationship. When I broke up and stepped out of it, I thought a lot and completely focused on my children" - Ha Quang Minh confided.
Ha Quang Minh explained that he did not register to marry his ex-lover because he worshiped the mindset of being single, it made him feel free and volunteer. However, the biggest reason is that he sees many disadvantages in personality, so any woman who accepts to stick with it has to suffer many disadvantages.
Right from the moment he decided to build a home with his ex, journalist Ha Quang Minh knew it would not be complete.
"The mother of the two children had also gone through a marriage and had two children. They all came to live with me. We try to build a family and have 2 children together. But later on, I realized that if all the effort did not come from the basic foundation of true love, it would only make both of them tired.
Of course, fatigue is accompanied by many other factors. So I chose to step out even though I am very grateful to the person who gave me two children, he said.
After nearly 10 years of living together, he has been almost busy with his personal work, so he spends little time with his children. When they broke up, he did not take custody of the child to avoid causing emotional damage to the child.
"I noticed, the children are very affectionate with their mother. Without a father for 1-2 days, the children remember him but are not depressed, and without their mother, it is very different. If I win custody, it will only benefit me, not the children" - Ha Quang Minh said.
He recounted the time when his daughter came to live with him, she secretly went into the bathroom and cried. When he discovered that, he was very heartbroken.
"When children grow up and need brothers, if I separate them, the mental wound will be huge. In fact, children cannot live with their parents until they are old, but brothers can live together until their old age" - he sadly shared.
Although he did not officially register his marriage, the 10-year breakdown also greatly affected Ha Quang Minh's spirit. I have never seen myself shed so much tears.
Having a relationship with a "mother of two children", Ha Quang Minh lived a rather negative life for a while. But recently, he has been more optimistic, happier, and even cut his long hair that he has been attached to for the past 16 years, surprising everyone.
He confided that the moment his long hair fell, he was absent-mindedly thinking about the journey he had gone through, encountering many incidents and making wrong decisions. But, the best, most perfect thing he has had in all these years is his two children.
