Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union (CĐXDVN) said that CĐXDVN always strives to build, develop, and consolidate foreign relations with trade union organizations of countries in the region and internationally to strengthen solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between union members, workers and employees in the construction and transportation industries in the country and workers and employees in the construction industry of other countries.
The foreign affairs activities of CĐXDVN are deployed in a regular and unified manner, well complying with the guidelines, policies, and regulations of the Party, State, and VGCL.
In the past time, CĐXDVN has successfully organized the reception of a delegation of the Cuban Construction Trade Union including 3 people to visit and work; prepared contents and conditions to welcome and sign bilateral cooperation agreements with the Belarus Construction and Building Materials Industry Trade Union including 5 people to visit in November 2025; welcomed a delegation of the Japan Transport Trade Union including 5 people to visit and work in Vietnam in December 2025.
Along with that, CĐXDVN successfully organized 2 delegations of CĐXDVN to visit and work with the Construction, Wood and Mine Union of the Republic of Cyprus PEO including 5 people in June 2025; a delegation of CĐXDVN to visit and work with the Union of Trade Unions of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos including 5 people in October 2025.
At the same time, CĐXDVN participates in 2 multilateral foreign affairs activities: The delegation of CĐXDVN attends the first Conference of the Asia-Pacific Office under the Transport, Port, Fisheries and Communications Trade Union (TUI TPFC) in July 2025; the delegation of CĐXDVN attends the 18th Congress of the International Construction, Building Materials and Timber Trade Union (UITBB) in November 2025.
At working sessions with partners, CĐXDVN introduced the organization, some outstanding activities of CĐXDVN; shared the advantages, difficulties and experiences of trade union activities; gained more understanding about the situation of workers and trade union activities, learned more trade union activities experiences from friends. Foreign affairs work has been implemented thoughtfully and methodically in the past time, leaving a strong impression, contributing to promoting friendly cooperative relations between CĐXDVN and industry trade unions around the world; clearly showing the positive role of CĐXDVN as a reliable, active and responsible partner for the regional and global trade union movement. The success of foreign affairs activities contributes to enhancing the position and image of CĐXDVN in particular and the Vietnam Trade Union organization in general in the international arena; building a beautiful image of the country and people of Vietnam for international friends.
Representatives of the leaders of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour continue to support, create conditions, and help the Vietnam Construction Trade Union connect and develop new cooperative relationships with trade union organizations in the construction and transport sectors of countries around the world in the coming time. Proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour continue to support and assist in procedures and interpretation for delegations of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union to attend a number of multilateral conferences.
The VGCL continues to organize training for trade union officials working in foreign affairs on improving foreign language skills.
