On February 11, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Director of Quang Binh Provincial Employment Service Center said that in 2024, the Center has implemented many activities to connect businesses with workers, contributing to improving the efficiency of job creation in the province.
Efforts to connect businesses and workers
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, in 2024, the Center organized 58 job fairs, attracting 128 businesses to participate in direct recruitment. Thereby, 2,275 workers were consulted, 868 workers were introduced to direct interviews and 668 workers passed the preliminary selection.
In addition to the GDVL sessions, the Center also received recruitment needs from 307 units and organizations, with more than 866 different job positions, a total of 12,949 recruitment targets in the province and in the country. In particular, consulting work was widely deployed with 30,072 workers supported in employment, vocational training, unemployment insurance and labor policies according to regulations.
In addition, propaganda work is also promoted through many forms such as hanging banners, playing recruitment loudspeakers, sending official dispatches to communes/wards/towns, as well as on online platforms such as Website, Fanpage, Zalo.
Despite many positive results, according to Mr. Phuong, the job creation work still faces many difficulties. One of the worrying issues is that most of the businesses participating in recruitment at the GDVL sessions are small-scale, the recruitment positions do not attract workers, the salary is low and the welfare regime is not really attractive. This leads to a shortage of quality workers, causing many positions to still not be able to recruit enough staff.
In addition, many workers participate in interviews but do not meet the requirements of the business, especially in terms of professional qualifications, experience and age. Many workers have unstable thinking, do not commit to the company for a long time, and want to find an easy job with a high salary. This makes the rate of workers finding jobs after interviews not reach the expected level.
“Regarding labor export, although the Center has focused on implementation, it still faces difficulties due to the limited number of recruitment orders,” said Mr. Phuong.
Promote employment solutions
In order to improve the efficiency of job connection in 2025, Quang Binh Provincial Employment Service Center will focus on a number of key solutions.
Continue to expand cooperation with reputable domestic and foreign recruitment agencies, select labor export enterprises with quality orders. Promote labor export to markets such as Japan, Korea, Poland, Hungary, Greece..., expand to the crew industry.
Along with specific plans, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province has also assigned the target of creating jobs in 2025 with 20,000 workers, of which 8,000 workers will be sent to work abroad for a limited period under contract.
In 2024, the province achieved positive results when creating jobs for 21,000 workers, exceeding the plan by 7.7%. This is the motivation for the Center to continue implementing more effective solutions in 2025, contributing to improving labor quality and improving the lives of local people.
