Ba Ria - Vung Tau - 60 units participated in the 2024 Job Fair with the need to recruit more than 15,000 jobs and vocational training positions both domestically and abroad.

On November 17, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) organized the Job Fair of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with the theme "Connecting jobs - Career opportunities - Expanding the future" in Phu My town.

This is one of the local solutions implemented in 2024 to solve employment for workers; support connections between businesses and workers; recruitment units and workers. Thereby bringing job opportunities, recruitment opportunities, providing practical information on labor, employment and career policies to a large number of workers participating.

Through this, workers will find jobs that match their qualifications, abilities, and strengths; and businesses will recruit candidates who meet job requirements.

Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said that Ba Ria - Vung Tau set a goal in the period of 2021-2025 to create jobs for 50,000 people; strive to reduce the unemployment rate in urban areas to 2.6%, increase the rate of trained workers from 80% to 82% (of which, workers with degrees and certificates are 35%). To complete these targets and plans, the locality is implementing many synchronous solutions, closely coordinating between sectors and levels.

The 2024 Job Fair attracted 60 businesses to register for direct and indirect recruitment, with about 265 job positions and a need to recruit more than 15,000 workers.

Of which, domestic enterprises recruit about 3,092 workers; recruitment units need to recruit 2,540 people in different fields of study; recruiting temporary workers in foreign markets is about 8,779 people...
