On October 21, Phu My Ward Trade Union (HCMC) held the 1st Ward Trade Union Delegation Conference for the 2025-2030 term, in the spirit of Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development.
The conference was attended by leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; leaders of Phu My ward and 100 official delegates representing all union members and workers in the area.
Currently, Phu My Ward Trade Union is managing 195 grassroots trade unions; with about 34,696 union members. Because the area is mainly industrial production, the proportion of industrial workers and laborers is high compared to the population; increasingly affirming its important role in the socio-economic development of the locality.
Since its establishment, the unit has implemented a series of activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers in the area; propagate and disseminate legal policies and guidelines among workers; mobilize union members to actively participate in social activities, sports, charity, patriotic emulation movements...
The delegates presented presentations and contributed enthusiastic opinions on the activities of the Trade Union organization in the coming time. Thereby, the conference passed a Resolution with many specific targets: 100% of union members need to be consulted, supported, and their legitimate rights protected; 100% of grassroots unions organize dissemination on the Party's policies and the State's laws, especially the Labor Law, the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law... to union members and workers.
On this occasion, the conference also launched the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee consisting of 14 comrades (1 comrade is defeated); of which, Mr. Dang Quoc Binh is the Vice Chairman in charge of Phu My Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030.
