From May 7 to 8, the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) coordinated with Thanh Loi General Clinic to organize a health check-up program for 100 female union members and female workers in difficult circumstances, on the occasion of Workers' Month 2025.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (8/3), 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (28/7), and at the same time, make achievements to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 17th Ca Mau Provincial Party Congress.
The program aims to improve the quality of health care for female workers, especially those in difficult circumstances who are working at enterprises with trade unions. Thereby, it demonstrates the concern and responsibility of trade unions at all levels in protecting and caring for the rights and lives of workers.
The health examination includes: general health consultation, obstetrics and gynecology examination, chest ultrasound, cervical screening and modern immunotherapy screening for cervical cancer (Pap's Liqui-Prep). For cases of disease detection, the program also supports free medicine.
The selected participants are female union members, workers in difficult circumstances, priority over 40 years old, with risk factors for cancer or in a family with a previous cancer member.
Through the program, the trade union organization hopes to spread the message of proactive health care, contributing to protecting and improving the quality of life for female workers, helping them feel secure in their work and stay with the company for a long time.
