On the afternoon of January 10, the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to review the Union's work in 2024 and deploy key directions and tasks for 2025.
In 2024, activities to care for Tet for union members and workers will be widely deployed by Trade Unions at all levels with many practical activities from the province to the grassroots.
Trade unions at all levels organized "Union Meals" for nearly 10,000 union members and workers at grassroots unions in the province; mobilized union members and workers to contribute to the Union Shelter Fund with an amount of more than 3.5 billion VND, reaching 109% of the Resolution target; supported the construction and repair of 93 houses with a total amount of 3.5 billion VND; activities to support bank loans, create jobs, and participate in social and charitable activities were implemented by trade unions at all levels.
Emulation work has been innovated, the Provincial Federation of Labor launched a campaign for Trade Unions at all levels to register to implement the 2024 model of Skillful Mass Mobilization with models such as: "Establishing a non-state grassroots Trade Union"; Dam Doi District Federation of Labor registered 2 models "Installing light bulbs to light up rural roads" and "Mobilizing union members to make vegetable gardens and fish ponds"...
During the year, the Trade Unions at all levels admitted 4,502 new members (2,242 more members, reaching 40.40% and 1,134 new members in the informal sector, reaching 206.18% of the Resolution target), established 58 new grassroots Trade Unions and Trade Unions, of which 8 grassroots Trade Unions with 25 or more employees were established, reaching 100% and 33 grassroots Trade Unions in the informal sector.
The province currently has 1,131 grassroots trade unions and trade unions; 55,800 workers, civil servants and laborers, including 54,203 union members (26,758 women).
Determining the theme of activities in 2025 as "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", the Provincial Federation of Labor set many targets.
In particular, strive for 100% of enterprises with 25 or more employees to establish a grassroots Trade Union and establish 10 or more grassroots Trade Unions in the informal sector.
Actual development increased by 9,120 union members, of which 8,520 were in the formal sector and 600 were in the informal sector. Strive to have 98% of State-owned grassroots unions and 70% of non-State-owned grassroots unions and trade unions classified as having fulfilled their tasks well.
Strive to have 100% of the Trade Unions directly above the grassroots level classified as having completed their tasks well. 100% of newly elected grassroots Trade Union Chairmen receive appropriate training and development. On average, each grassroots Trade Union introduces at least 1 outstanding member to the Party for consideration, training, and admission...
