On July 1st, information from Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Insurance, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies on handling the situation of salary and social insurance debt at Mai Linh Nha Trang Co., Ltd., in the past time, the social insurance agency has worked and urged businesses to rectify violations many times.
Accordingly, from January 2026 to now, the unit has sent 16 documents urging payment of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and disease insurance for Mai Linh Nha Trang Co., Ltd. and Mai Linh Group Joint Stock Company Branch in Nha Trang.
On April 3 and May 26, relevant agencies continued to work with businesses, requesting urgent remediation of late payment and evasion of insurance; and at the same time informing legal regulations on the responsibility of businesses if they continue to violate.
As of June 29, the insurance debt situation at the two units has not been completely resolved. Specifically, Mai Linh Nha Trang Co., Ltd. still owes 1.07 billion VND of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; Mai Linh Group Joint Stock Company Branch in Nha Trang still owes more than 5.3 billion VND.
Up to now, Mai Linh Nha Trang Co., Ltd. has only supplemented contributions and confirmed social insurance books for 3 employees including: Nguyen Than, Nguyen Ngoc Hue and Nguyen Vu Bang.
Faced with the situation that businesses are slow to fulfill their obligations, Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Insurance has proposed to the Provincial Police to consider handling them according to legal regulations.
However, according to the leader of Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Insurance, the dossier cannot be transferred to the police agency because this agency requires an administrative penalty decision before receiving it, while the field of penalties for social insurance violations is waiting for a decree to replace Decree 12.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the unit is currently supporting and guiding 15 workers to complete procedures to submit applications for labor mediators to consider and resolve Mai Linh Nha Trang's salary debt behavior.
In addition, 21 employees have authorized the Provincial Labor Federation to sue. The total amount owed employees requesting the enterprise to resolve includes nearly 1.13 billion VND of social insurance money and more than 433 million VND of salary, deposit, and franchise car money.
Currently, the People's Court of District 1 has accepted and considered resolving 4 dossiers related to enterprises owing social insurance for employees.
